Take for example the traditional Japanese belief that "wisdom" or gods are located throughout nature (in trees, mountains, bodies of water, etc.) This belief seems to contrast with the general Western idea that wisdom does not physically exist in the natural environment but inside the minds of humans or a single God. People from different cultural backgrounds will no doubt provide many helpful interpretations of the Expo 2005 main theme. This is a result of the 2005 World Exposition being concerned with conserving nature and enhancing lifestyles in the context of multicultural collaboration.

Multi-cultural interpretations of the "Nature’s Wisdom" theme will revolve around ideas of economics, technologies, and even the arts and crafts.
